It’s here… sorta
March 19, 2007
The first (a.k.a unfinished) version of my personal site is finally here. All you excited little kiddies go on over, check it out, and add it to your feeds.
Update your bookmarks, because I’ll no longer be posting here. All things Chris Fehnel reside there.

I won on Blingo… Again
May 9, 2006
Thanks to Tubs, or should I say Tina, I won another Blingo movie ticket.
I have many many times on Blingo and I have wrote about a lot of them. I have won multiple movie tickets and an iPod Shuffle (I actually took the $100 gift card).
If you think it is a joke sign up under my name. I am good luck. If you think I’m lying this is a listing of prizes I have won since using Blingo.

Required App Meme
May 4, 2006
This has been a long time coming. Mike passed on the fun to me a couple weeks ago and I haven’t got around to posting my required apps. Better late then never.
In no particular order:
- iTunes
- Last.fm
- PearLyrics Widget
- Photoshop
- TextMate
- NetNewsWire
- MarsEdit
- Azureus
- USB Overdrive or SteerMouse (for Mighty Mouse)
- Quicksilver, Quicksilver, and more Quicksilver
I won’t be passing this meme on again, because I’m sure everyone who I would pass it on to has already taken part in it.
Back on track
January 11, 2006
It was a long time coming, but it had to happen sooner or later. I went to the gym for the first time in a long time.
The first step is always the hardest, but now that has been made I’m determined to stay on course. It was refreshing to be back, and I was surprised I didn’t lose much from what I used to be able to do, although I never did anything impressive.
My weight is right around 225 now, which isn’t horrible and is actually right around where I want to be minus the massive gut I have quickly grown back. Bye-bye gut, I’m glad you won’t be around for long.

AirTunes with Airport Express
November 26, 2005
I finally did it. After months of deliberation, talking, and put off, I finally got my apartment setup with AirTunes with Airport Express.
The first thing I had to get was a new stereo (which I wouldn’t recommend picking up on Black Friday) that had inputs to plug the stereo cables into. My old stereo wouldn’t do the trick and wouldn’t have sounded as good as this one anyway.
I had a couple of weird issues setting up AirTunes, though. First time through, it only let me use AirTunes if I was using my Airport Express for Ethernet as well. Then I deleted the Airport as a connection to the Internet (which didn’t work anyway). Once I did this, it would not find my Airport Express. I restarted a couple times and opened the setup assistant again and again, and one time it just worked, for some odd reason.
Oh well, at least it works now. I do have some weird issues with the music stopping for about two seconds, even when this computer isn’t doing anything. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, what did you do to resolve it?
First slide out of the season
November 25, 2005
We all know when winter begins: when you slide on ice or snow for the first time.
The first time came about for me at about 8:15 this morning, driving on the curviest road in the area. It was around a nice sharp little corner, luckily there was no one coming around on the other side.
It’s always good fun when you tap the brakes, and you feel them lock up on you. Just a reminder you should have learned in Driving 101: if you start to slide don’t slam on your brakes. If I did this today, I’m sure I would have done a nice little spin around and possibly caused a good bit of damage to my reasonalbly undamaged car.
Ahhh, gotta love the winter season.
I want an iMac G5
November 16, 2005
I really, really want this machine. My goal is to plan saving for the “20 display iMac and have the machine before the start of Spring.
I need a new machine, seeing as I currently have a PowerBook G4, but it’s not technically mine. So, I need to get a personal computer, and the new features make the new iMac all the more tempting. My temptations have got the best of me, and now I have to make my dream a reality.
